Not so RANDOM...

Transform plant fibres into baskets, platters, wall hangings and sculptures immersed in nature on a hobby farm in Milton. No weaving experience required.

You'll prep, shape and complete at least one piece, and practice the skills to continue creating at your own pace.

Leave with your creativity reignited, new connections and a nourished belly.

Weather permitting, we’ll work outside and enjoy expansive views of Yuin Country, from Lake Conjola to Didthul (Pigeon House Mountain). We’ll take a stroll to meet the menagerie of miniature horses, goats and chooks, and they’ll likely visit us too! Inside we’ll enjoy an open fire if the day is cool.

This hands-on workshop includes:

  • The contemporary 'random weave' technique
  • Guidance re collecting and preparing plant fibres for sustainable art - the skills to continue creating at your own pace
  • All weaving materials including foraged Bangalow palm inflorescence
  • Wellbeing practices: contemplative journaling, breathwork, Yoga Nidra relaxation
  • Your own journal for note-taking and reflection
  • Loads of nutritious yummy food prepared with love using fresh local produce: morning tea, lunch, snacks, hot and cold bevvies.
  • Connection and play with each other, and cheeky farmyard friends.

Date: 10am - 4pm, Sat 27 May 2023
