Trees for Halls: Education, Beautification & Conservation

Please ensure you register for your preferred session and note the location of that workshop.  Held as part of Landcare Week 2026, these workshops celebrate the important role local communities play in caring for our landscapes while building stronger, more connected and drought-resilient communities.

Join us for this short session - a hands-on community planting experience and help strengthen local connections while enhancing the environment within our village communities.

Plants play a vital role in healthy landscapes. They provide habitat for native wildlife, produce the oxygen we breathe, help reduce erosion, regulate soil and water systems, moderate ground temperatures and contribute to the long-term health and resilience of our environment.

We are working alongside local Progress Associations with these workshops to provide practical demonstrations on correct planting techniques, plant protection strategies and useful tips on their ongoing care. Participants will gain useful skills while helping to create attractive, sustainable community spaces that everyone can enjoy.

More importantly, these events are about bringing people together. By sharing knowledge, working collaboratively and building stronger local networks, we can strengthen the social resilience of our communities and be better prepared to respond to future challenges such as drought and our changing climate.
