Participants to bring their own materials. Approximately 5 to 6 participants for each session.
Resume: Born in Sydney, Peter has lived there for most of his life. He is a full-time artist and writer. He has been a soldier and educator and is now a casual academic with a Sydney university.
Peter attended Meadowbank Art School, graduating with majors in painting and drawing. His teachers were Jocelyn Maughan, Robin Norling and Michael Kempson. He currently runs a drawing group at The Epping Creative Centre every Tuesday morning which is attended by about twenty artists.
Peter uses of a variety of media. The dissonance of his line work and the marks he makes draws the viewer into a conversation about the forms and ideas he commits to paper. His work includes figure studies in pencil, ink, charcoal and crayon. Peter has drawn from his extensive travels and varied life experiences to shape his work. He has exhibited widely in Australia and recently had a major exhibition at The Soho Gallery in Woollahra. His work is in collections in Australia, New Zealand, Europe and the United States.
