CARL DEWHURST, PETER O'MARA QUARTET

Two of Australia ́s greatest Jazz guitarists team up for this once-only collaboration, featuring mostly original compositions in a groovy, bluesy style. They are joined by the fantastic rhythm section of BRETT HIRST & HAMISH STUART.

CARL DEWHURST is considered one Australia’s most accomplished jazz guitarists. His performances include Showa 44, The Drip Hards, Carl Dewhurst Quartet, Dewey, Scott Tinkler, Band of Five Names, Daorum, Trace Sphere, Australian Art Orchestra, James Morrison Quartet, Vince Jones Band, 20th Century Dog, Gest 8, Susan Gai Dowling & Bernie McGann. He has lived & toured internationally including having performed at The Lincoln Centre in NYC, Ronnie Scott’s London & numerous major festivals including the Mumbai, London,Copenhagen, Pori & Berlin jazz festivals.

PETER O'MARA moved to Germany in late 1981, soon establishing himself as one of the most versatile guitarists in Europe, including performances & recordings with Dave Holland, Joe Lovano, Bob Mintzer, Kenny Wheeler, Norma Winstone, John Taylor, Randy Brecker, Charlie Mariano, Tony Lakatos, Mike Nock, Russell Ferrante, Anthony Jackson, Marc Johnson, Adam Nussbaum, ee Wee Ellis, Fred Wesley, the United Jazz & Rock Ensemble &  Klaus Doldinger's 'Passport'.  He has toured extensively in Europe & his group 'Affiliation' were headliners at the Wangaratta Jazz Festival in 2013.
