Garden Escapee Workshop

Hosted by Aaron Hartley from Council’s Bush Regeneration Team

Join us in exploring one of the biggest hidden threats to our local bushland: garden escapees. These are the ornamental plants that slip beyond our fences and take root where they don’t belong, outcompeting native species and reshaping our natural ecosystems.

In this practical session, you’ll:

  • Learn to identify the most common invasive plants spreading from gardens across the Coffs region
  • Understand why they’re a problem and how they impact our bushland
  • Discover effective methods for control and removal

A light morning tea will be provided.

When: 9:30-12:00pm Thursday 23rd April

Where: Nature Discovery Centre at the North Coast Regional Botanic Garden - Coffs Harbour

This is a FREE event for CHRL members, but spaces are limited so please register. If you can no longer attend please be sure to cancel your booking so someone else can take your place.
