Deep Pour Resin Board Course

In this course, you will learn the basics of using river resin and all the aspects of deep pour epoxy, best practices for wood prep and finishing to achieve a beautiful gloss finish.

You will be working with marri wood for this project and you can choose to place whatever you like between the two pieces of wood. Bring your very own mini alcohol bottles, dried flowers, sea shells, perfume bottles, sports emblems, Star Wars figurines, or even photos. The choice is yours. Please note we have a range of dried flowers and sea shells you can use.

This course is done over three sessions. The first session includes choosing your pieces of wood and pouring your first layer of resin with your chosen inserts. This then needs to cure to secure the pieces before doing the next pour to cover your trinkets, bottles, etc. Once cured, you can then do your final pour. We will book you in for stage two during the first class.

Every step will be demonstrated, and we are here to help you at every stage so that by the end of the class, you can take home your unique resin board for your home.

Note:

• We use Health of Mind River Cast resin in our studio, and all wood is sustainably sourced from local wood specialist James Turner Woodwork & Health of Mind Art. If you choose to bring a friend or partner, you will do your board together (not one each).
• Please also note we do not supply the items to put between the pieces of wood for you. It's up to you to bring them on the day.
