From Murwillumbah to Melbourne and Gowrie Park to Gympie, playing festivals, theatres, and unique venues, be sure to catch Felicity Urquhart and Josh Cunningham (of The Waifs) live on their ‘Birdsong’ Tour.

A careful selection of boutique venues will ensure an intimate experience as the pair continue to carve out a distinctive place in the Australian music landscape with their unique blend of songs, sounds and story. Masterful songwriting and musicianship across a wide range of instruments and styles never fails to captivate audiences wherever they play. Rooted in the Blues, Country, and Folk traditions, their music is subtle and arresting, weighty and spacious, and always delivered with compelling honesty.

Their new album Birdsong (releasing 29 Sept.) is a 10-track celebration about conquering the cage and finding your voice. In the tradition of Alison Krauss and Robert Plant, the pair soar like birds on a wing and their song is glorious. Venturing beyond the minimal, intimate acoustic stylings of their debut album (The Song Club), Birdsong adds more meat on the bone. Electric guitars can be heard throughout, along with an eclectic array of obscure, small stringed instruments. Award winning Matt Fell lends his considerable talents to the project, proving a perfect choice as co-producer and musician.

Felicity and Josh have created a sacred place in the hearts of many who cross their path with their candid and charming music and storytelling.

“Felicity and Josh deliver an absolutely world class live show, in which they engage the audience so warmly that everyone in the room feels like a friend by the end.”- Tim Freedman, The Whitlams

“The chemistry on stage and the musical talent left me floating out of the theatre wanting more. The highlight of Tamworth for me.” - Oz Bayldon Program Manager, Gympie Music Muster

“Having Felicity and Josh join us at the festival was so wonderful, those smiles lit up the stage and that twang couldn’t keep anyone still. What a duo!”

- Phaedra Watts, Festival Director Nannup Music Festival

Together Felicity and Josh have played some of the country’s biggest music festivals including Gympie Music Muster, Groundwater Country Music Festival, Queenscliff Music Festival, Nannup Music Festival, Deni Ute Muster, Blue Mountains Music Festival, and more.

The freedom song of a bird in full throated ease is glorious and captivating. Don’t miss out on experiencing Birdsong live. This heavyweight album and show is sure to impact audiences, plus performances feature ARIA and Golden Guitar-winning songs from the duo’s back catalogue that fans know and love.
