Circle of Security Parenting Course

The Circle of Security parenting program is for parents and carers of children aged 4 months to 8 years old who would like to develop secure relationships with their children to help them thrive. This course will help you to identify the way your child/ren signal their need for greater connection and emotional support, and how those needs can most effectively be met. Children with a secure-attachment to a primary caregiver experience higher levels of happiness, problem-solving skills, and lasting relationships.

The course facilitators are Laura Lamerton (BA/BSW/MChild&AdolesWelf) and Rebekah van der Spek (BA/MSW). Both Laura and Rebekah are parents to multiple young children. The facilitators have been supporting parents for over 14 years to overcome their parenting challenges, access helpful services, and unpack their feelings in a safe space.  

The course fee of $80 will fund the cost of another First Steps client to attend the course, thank you for paying it forward . Babysitting is available upon request, with highly experienced staff available to care for the children.
