Philharmonic South West embraces the wonderful world of classical music. Its main desire is to enrich the lives of communities in the region through excellence in performance and presentation. Based in Bunbury, Philharmonic South West performs throughout the year in a variety of venues including Bunbury, Harvey, Ferguson Valley, Margret River and Dunsborough.
Members also support various smaller chamber ensembles throughout the region.

Conductor David Pye, is one of WA's most experienced musicians who has been working as a composer, percussionist and conductor for the past 30 years.  In 2014 David was appointed as musical director of Philharmonic South West and has made a tremendously positive impact on the development of the orchestra which celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2019.

Our Program
Enter the magical world of a traditional European festive season. Take a break from the 'silly season' and enjoy a gentle, mellow musical experience played by a 55-piece orchestra. With thoughts of falling snow, you will be entranced with musical items including the Skaters' Waltz and Walking in the Air (from The Snowman). Other traditional Christmas favourites such as The Nutcracker and Hansel & Gretel will add to this authentic European musical experience.
