SARAH BELKNER & FRIENDS MARCH MONDAY RESIDENCY AT BUTCHERS BREW BAR

After a cracking first run last year SARAH BELKNER decided she couldn’t wait a whole year to do it again so she's back at Butchers Brew Bar for the first 4 Mondays in March, bringing her unique existential indie singer-songwriter vibes to Butchers Brew & teaming up with a great local artist each week. Together, they bring a residency filled with old songs, brand new songs & always a surprise sing along for everyone to enjoy.  The artists coming along this time are the incredible EBS, TOBY MARTIN, bestie BRENDAN MACLEAN is back for a second round & the wonderful BONNIESONGS.  Each week will be its own adventure & a great way to warm the heart at the start of the week.

⭐️  BRENDAN MACLEAN  This show well sold out last residency & was a favourite for all involved. Sarah & Brendan have been performing together forever & it's always a special night when they collaborate so they decided why not?! And are doing it again. They are already plotting some really great surprises & collabs.  Sarah produced Brendan’s album ‘And The Boyfriends’, they have done a big chunk of life together & have always felt like they are home when they harmonise so you’ll be in for some sweet harmonies this week.

Brendan Maclean is an award winning vocalist, songwriter and beloved star of the stage known for his lyrical campery & unforgettable live performances.  Maclean kicked off his career when he released his break-up anthem Stupid, gaining global virality & a publishing contract at Universal. Soon after, he was cast alongside Marcia Hines in the smash hit disco spectacular 'Velvet' (2013) which toured for three years locally & abroad. He then made his film debut as Klipspringer in Baz Luhrmann's 'The Great Gatsby'. Maclean has since gone on to release five EP’s & two top ten Australian charting albums including ‘funbang1’ & ‘And The Boyfriends’.

In 2018 Maclean made his first major onscreen appearance with a leading role in the ABC comedy 'F**king Adelaide' as Eli alongside Pamela Rabe &  Kate Box directed by Sophie Hyde (Good Luck To You Leo Grande, Jimpa) for which he also wrote the theme music. More recently, Brendan had a superstar year appearing in Tim Burton’s ‘Wednesday Island’ watched by an audience of 55 million+ online & played opposite Hugo Weaving in the feature film 'How To Make Gravy (2025)' scoring an AACTA for his single ‘Fine’ written by Meg Washington from the ARIA award winning original cast album.

⭐️  SARAH BELKNER is a singer, instrumentalist, songwriter, arranger, composer, musical director & studio producer living & creating on Gadigal land. Her EP ‘Humans’ (2015). & two albums ‘But You Are, But It Has’ (2017) & ‘The Apple’ (2023) have seen her gain accolades such as Double J Album of the Week, a song featured in the hit series ‘Offspring’, performances at The Great Escape UK & supporting artists including Sarah Blasko, Lisa Mitchell & The Veils.

Belkner has become a revered touring musician/ MD performing with many great artists including Missy Higgins, Neil Finn & Tim Minchin. She has also sat in the producers seat for the likes of Missy Higgins, Brendan Maclean & Leah Flanagan.
