Solo Tango in the Tropics

Coming in from tropical Cairns!! A workshop for followers of all levels of Tango offering insights into the steps, technique, embellishments and musicality of Argentine tango. Our focus will be on caminata, pivots, ochos and adornos.

Liesel Bourke; Now based in Cairns, QLD, I attained my Diploma of Professional Dance in classical ballet at the Princess Grace Academy, Monaco and went on to work in Germany and France with professional dance companies, as well as a freelance artist in Australia and Europe. I worked as Senior Manager of Choreography, for TUI Cruises Germany whereby I was responsible for training and artist development programs, along with choreographing for shows and casting dancers for the fleet.

My interest in Latin Dance, in particular Argentine Tango has led me to dance, perform and teach Tango workshops throughout Europe.
