Look for the yellow sign and follow the driveway through to the rear. Parking is available in the gravel carpark adjacent to the shed, please follow signage. Please arrive from 15 mins prior to the event start start time. On arrival look for the Michelle Leilani A-frame or ask for directions in the office. The traditional art of weaving has been an essential skill across most cultures of the world. Learn how to weave with weeds and other plants to make beautiful baskets and sculptures for your home and garden. The twining weave technique is perfect for the beginner and the experienced weaver, with endless possibilities for individual exploration. Get creative and unveil the beauty of this ancient craft!

The Creator Incubator is where creativity happens. A thriving shed full of artist studios located in eclectic Hamilton, Newcastle. Join us for a workshop and make sure you leave time to visit the gallery and take a wander through studios while you're here!
ABOUT YOUR TUTOR
Michelle is an experienced artist, a graduate of The College of Fine Arts in Sydney. Her fascination with colour, textiles, and love for plants has been combined in her continued study and exploration of weaving & natural dying, recieving recent tuition with master weaver Matt Tommey (US) & master dyer Aboubaker Fofana. She is founder of Michelle Leilani, a sustainable textile company specialising in the art of natural dying.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Full refund available if cancelled 30 days or more in advance. Otherwise, refunds upon cancellation by the student will only be awarded if we are able to fill your booked place. Sorry no transfers or credits. Confirmation of the workshop will be made at the latest 14 days prior to commencement. In the event the workshop is postponed due to low enrollment numbers or other circumstances, you will be offered the choice of a full refund or credit towards any other course.
