Mulloon Institute Landscape Rehydration Bootcamp
How to catch water and restore landscapes for your property
Learn how to apply simple strategies to improve productivity and drought resilience. Optimise water cycling and landscape function.
A skills-based course about harnessing the water cycle to improve landscape function on your property. See how these solutions are constructed and can work with your goals.
Through activities that blend scientific principles and practical skills, you will learn about:
• How to identify and prioritise issues on your property and make real changes to the way water influences your farm’s viability.
• Practical application of sound planning and design principles to give your landscape rehydration project the best chance of success.
The first two days of the Bootcamp will be delivered at Steinbrook Hall where you will learn how to catch water and restore landscapes for your property.
Location: Billirimba Road, Steinbrook Hall
Dates: Wednesday 5th November and Thursday 6th November
Times: 9am – 3pm (NSW time, AEDT)
The 3rd and final day of the Bootcamp will include property visits to two of your properties, with some earth-moving works planned for one of these sites. We will meet at the Landcare Office (45 Martin Street Tenterfield) between 8am and 8:45am for car-pooling out to the field sites. This will minimise impact on field sites and assist where 4WD may be necessary.
Morning teas and lunches are included, but please bring water, enclosed shoes and a hat to all days.
Completion of both the Introductory Field Day and Bootcamp will make you eligible for the highly subsidised Mentoring Program (for early 2026).
Mulloon Institute is a leading research and education organisation helping to build resilient regional communities by supporting the long-term, sustainable growth of Australian agriculture.
This opportunity has been co-developed and brought to you by Northern Tablelands LLS and Granite Borders Landcare.
