Move Well Fitness classes are gentle exercise classes that are especially designed to be safe and effective for people (usually older adults) with long-term stable health conditions such as heart disease, diabetes or obesity.
All participants work next to a chair and can do the whole class seated if necessary. The class includes seated and standing exercises to improve fitness, strength, flexibility and balance.
Sessions can help:
¨lower blood pressure
¨Improve cholesterol control
¨Manage weight
¨improve well being and quality of life
¨manage diabetes
¨improve balance and flexibility
¨ improve sleep
¨improve bone mineral density with arthritis management
¨prevent falls and injuries from falls
