CityServe & Lake Mac Family Week
CityServe is a unique initiative that embraces collaborative working partnerships between council, business and community organisations to benefit the community. CityServe Australia was initiated in the Hunter Region where there has always been a great serving tradition. People give of their time, energy and resources to serve others.
2012 - 2017 CityServe has mobilized volunteers to complete projects that benefit the wider community. Homes of the needy painted and repaired. Public facilities such as surf clubs and sporting grounds cleaned, painted and repaired. Parks mulched, and streets spaces painted and cleaned. Schools Community halls and Childcare Centres painted, and playgrounds restored.
The mobilization of volunteers to paint, clean and garden public spaces will continue in 2018. In addition to this a new community initiative has emerged from this collaborative partnership model, 'Lake Mac Family Week 2018.'
CityServe is an Incorporated Association with a charity status and as such operates under the rules and guidelines of the Australian Charities and Not for Profit Association.
