Izzy Losi and the Auracles - EP Fundraiser Night

On Saturday September 26, Geelong singer/songwriter Izzy Losi and her band the Auracles will be raising funds at Wintergarden Cafè Geelong, to help produce their brand new EP.

Izzy Losi will continue her rise in the Australian music industry with the launch of a fundraising gig at Wintergarden Cafè, 51 McKillop Street Geelong on Saturday September 26th. The funds raised will be used to produce, mix and master and release her forthcoming EP. Izzy was the recipient of the 2011 inaugural Queenscliff Music Festival Scholarship. The new CD is follow up record since releasing her debut in November 2012 titled ‘Outlast The Storm’ .

This young and ambitious local songstress has achievements behind her such as being the 2014 Melbourne Live Heat Winner of the Telstra Road to Discovery, has had appearances at four consecutive Queenscliff Music Festivals (QMF), is a past Mentee of Aria-Award Winning Monique Brumby, a 2011 QMF Scholarship Recipient, and has shared the stage with the likes of Courtney Barnett, Mia Dyson, HUSKY and Dean Geyer.

“The new record is all about coming back onto the music scene, which I have missed being involved in whilst finishing off my masters degree and working full time. I’m now in a position to focus on my music again, which I'm very grateful for. It is all about hard work and determination and knowing you have the strength both mentally and physically to do it.”

The launch night is an exclusive preview to Izzy’s newest and previously unheard compositions. Tickets are $40 pre-sale until September 1 available at izzylosi.com as well as on the door for $50. It will be an exclusive, up close and intimate event. Food will be provided and drinks are available at bar prices.

There will be a silent auction on the night, with various packages for people to choose from to help fund the new recording. This includes but is not limited to having the chance to be involved in the recording process, to owning an exclusive vinyl version of the new record. Piano, voice or Italian Language tutoring sessions with Izzy are also available.

Izzy has been compared artistically for her strong and powerful vocals and confident stage presence. She writes emotionally evocative subject matter and is often compared to artists such as Florence Welch, Tori Amos and Regina Spektor. Izzy’s music draws from multiple styles including contemporary indie-folk, with hints of pop-rock and boasts string accompaniment to compliment Izzy’s classical piano roots. Izzy has already compiled an impressive amount of performing experience, including featuring alongside artists such as Courtney Barnett, Clare Bowditch on the ABC's Album of the Week ‘Naked in The Woods 2’ part of the FReeZACentral Mentoring Program in 2010 as an 18-year-old. The price of the ticket includes supper. Each ticket holder will be eligible to a copy of the new EP when it is released, which is included in the ticket sale. Wintergarden is fully licence and drinks are at bar prices. Children under the age of 18 require the full supervision of a responsible adult at the event.
