Surfers Paradise Rugby Union Club Inc

Surfers Paradise Rugby Union Club is located in Yugambeh country and acknowledges and respects Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures as the oldest living continuous culture in this world and pays respect to First Australians’ ongoing connection to the lands and waters of this country.

Surfers Paradise Rugby Union Club is a family friendly sports club based on the beautiful Gold Coast.

We have teams from Under 6 to First Grade. For Juniors we focus on providing a nurturing environment where players can develop sportsmanship and skills while enjoying the experience. This development will also form a solid foundation for those players aiming to achieve higher honours in the future. We invite prospective players and parents to visit our club for Friday afternoon training sessions or Saturday game day.

For Seniors we aim to be leaders in providing the "rugby" experience making sure we have a coaching team that can continue your rugby development and a social environment that delivers the full rugby experience.

Founded in 1973, we played in the Brisbane centred competition until 1978 when the Gold Coast & Districts Rugby Union competition was created. Surfers Paradise holds the proud record as the premiers for the first 8 years of Gold Coast rugby competition.

Several Surfers Paradise players have played in the Queensland Country competition, and to this day, we still have players in the country competition and other representative teams. Surfers Paradise hosts many visiting teams from around the world who use our facilities to train and play games from club level through to Super Rugby and International teams . We are also the host club for the biennial Pan Pacific Masters Games Rugby.
