Schnauzer Rescue Queensland

We are a Not-For-Profit registered association run by a small, dedicated team of volunteers with various backgrounds and many years of experience with the schnauzer breed. We co-ordinate the rescue and re-homing of schnauzers and schnauzer-crosses throughout South East Queensland, Australia.  We support veterinary care and training where needed and provide follow up check-ins with all our rehomes to ensure a smooth transition to their new environment.  

We also work towards finding a solution to manage problems for your dog before it becomes a potential surrender. 

Our aim always is to place the dog in the best possible forever home.

We also understand that surrendering a family pet can be a distressing decision, so be assured your privacy is respected at all times and our members manage your enquiry with confidentiality and discretion.

Our highly sought-after calendar is our largest annual fundraiser and we thank you sincerely for your support.  Donations to our group of any amount are put toward the many costs associated with dogs coming in to our care and are always appreciated.  

2024 has once again seen a high demand for our services, and we never want to be in the position that we have to say no to a schnauzer in need.  We also offer coaching and referrals for many schnauzer families unsure of their next step in either behavioural issues or managing a potential rehome.  We'd much prefer to see a successful solution than a surrender.
