Studio 53 Mackay

Studio 53 is a premium arts space in Mackay, North Queensland designed to bring the entire Arts Community together, fostering a passion for the arts within the district and enabling everyone the opportunity to use this state of the art, purpose built space.

With a number of studios, retail spaces and boutique exhibition options, Studio 53 provides the Mackay Arts Community with a dynamic venue to host multiple classes, workshops with visiting arts professionals, exhibitions, small concerts and events of all types.

Dance, drama, music, singing, choral, yoga, pilates, music theatre rehearsals, martial arts, soirees, children’s recitals, ballroom dancing, Latin dancing, zumba, poetry readings, art exhibitions, dance/drama/music or instrumental examinations, Eisteddfod rehearsals, rehearsal space for companies visiting the MECC (The Mackay Entertainment and Convention Centre) which is conveniently only 5 minutes walk away – these are just a few of the uses for which Studio 53 was designed.

Hire of the space is available in a number of categories including:

• Regular studio hire for local dance/drama/vocal schools: entire school year
• Regular studio hire for local fitness and social dance classes: entire year
• Regular hourly/daily rental on particular days for arts organizations
• Regular hire daily and hourly for private teachers and industry professionals
• One off hire for events
• One off hire for examinations
• One off hire for visiting professionals for workshops or rehearsals
