Tamworth Basketball Association

Tamworth Basketball Association was founded in 1969 as an incorporated Association and current membership in excess of a thousand with 116 teams participating in Junior and Senior competitions at the Tamworth Sports Dome.

Tamworth Basketball Association has built a strong representative program with 15 teams participating in the Waratah Northern Junior League, the Country Premier League and the Waratah Northern Senior League with teams in Under twelve year old through to Under eighteen year old and our senior Men and Women's team participate in the Waratah Senior League.Teams travel from Lismore to Albury and as far west as Dubbo so our travel is vast.

We provide competitions for all ages and divisions with the highlight being our Aussie Hoops program which has kinder to year two and we are now aiming to add the year three to four girls to this program to attract more players.

Our members benefit from learning to play, social basketball and we provide a pathway to higher level of competition within NSW.We also have a referee program starting with red shirts who move to green shirt and finally gaining the stripe shirt.Pathways to NSW competitions are also encouraged.
