The King's School Basketball Club

The Objectives of The King’s Basketball Club are:

  • to foster, develop and enjoy the game of basketball at The King’s School (the School);
  • to provide support in developing the skills and abilities of all School players and coaches;
  • to encourage parents, Old Boys, pupils and families to participate in supporting School basketball;
  • to provide opportunities for School players to enjoy touring and other benefits of basketball; and
  • to raise funds for supporting the above objectives

We are a little different from most sporting clubs in that, apart from the King's Cup Tournament, we do not actually organise players, teams and competitions. This is done by The King's School under the supervision of The Master-in-Charge of Football, Ms Julianne Stanton, and her coaching staff.

We also organise the Hoops Academy three day basketball camp. This is held during school holidays for years 4 to 11, for students from the King's School with students from other schools welcome.

Our Events

The aims of our events are to foster and promote The King's School basketball community including players, parents, Old Boys and staff of The King's School. There is a secondary function for some events of raising funds for basketball resources and facilities for the boys.
