The Tamworth Regional Landcare Association (TRLA) is the peak Landcare association in our region, and includes the Peel River and adjacent catchment areas. We work to support local Landcare groups with on-the-ground works for biodiversity restoration and conservation as well as promoting education, communication and sustainability.
TRLA is a community-focused organisation dedicated to empowering individuals and groups to take meaningful action for the environment. Based in the heart of the Tamworth region, TRLA works collaboratively to promote sustainable land management, biodiversity conservation, and the preservation of vital natural resources like water and soil.
Through innovative projects, educational programs, and strategic partnerships with institutions such as the University of New England (UNE), TRC and other local organisations, TRLA supports initiatives that benefit the environment and community alike. Our nursery plays a pivotal role in enabling passionate locals to pursue projects that enhance environmental stewardship.
From hosting workshops and events to planting trees for threatened species like the black cockatoo, TRLA is committed to creating a greener, more sustainable future. Join us in our mission to care for the land and inspire positive change in the Tamworth region and beyond.
